Job Title: High School Teacher Location: Trinity Prep Napa, CA Reports To: Principal Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Summary We are seeking a faithful, enthusiastic High School Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. The ideal candidate will possess a deep love for Christ and His Church, a passion for teaching, and a desire to mentor students in both faith and reason. This teacher will lead students through a rigorous, integrated classical curriculum while modeling virtue, intellectual curiosity, and joyful witness.
Key Responsibilities
Teach subject area(s) (e.g., Theology, Literature, History, Latin, Math, Science, Philosophy) through a Catholic classical lens.
Guide students in the development of intellectual habits, moral character, and a well-formed conscience.
Incorporate classical pedagogy, including Socratic discussion, primary texts, integrated humanities, and reflective writing.
Contribute to the liturgical life of the school (Mass, adoration, confession, feast days, prayer).
Foster a respectful, orderly, and joy-filled classroom culture rooted in Catholic anthropology.
Collaborate with faculty and staff to support each student’s formation in wisdom and holiness.
Communicate regularly with parents to support student growth and reinforce partnership in education.
Qualifications
Faithful, practicing Catholic in full communion with the Church.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject or liberal arts field; Master’s degree preferred.
Passion for classical education and a willingness to continue learning its principles.
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and classroom management skills.
Commitment to forming young people in the Catholic intellectual and moral tradition.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching at the high school level, especially in a Catholic or classical school.
Familiarity with classical authors, Church teachings, and the Catholic liberal arts tradition.
Background in mentoring, youth ministry, or Catholic campus outreach is a plus.
