Techne

Our techne, or elective classes, are an opportunity for students to learn non-academic but crucial skills aimed at enriching their knowledge of a vast set of disciplines. These courses may include areas such as fine art, architecture, guitar, basic first aid, and cooking. Students apply for these courses based upon their interests.
Certain techne classes are mandatory and happen on a rotating cycle so that each student will graduate having had these classes. These include college preparation classes in ninth and tenth grades and economics in eleventh and twelfth grades. -
